Silk Screen Project
For this project we were taught how to use photoshop and we got to experiment on it. We had to choose three images that we wanted to use (from the internet) and then inserted them into photoshop to change them into a black and white, so when we print this onto the shirt it comes out properly. After that, we narrowed the three images down to just one image for our shirt. Once we finalized our one design we printed it onto a transparency. We put emulsion on our screen and let that dry. We then put the transparency on the screen, and plexiglass on top of that to hold it together, but also so that the light could go through. We then burned it in with a light for 15 minutes in a dark room. After our image was burned we cleaned the screen and printed our images onto our shirt using a special kind of ink.
